Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel
It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below your flight before landing to the airport are almost ecstatic and memorable. Our representative and driver from our office will come to the airport to pick you up and escort you to the hotel. In the evening at the hotel lobby you will be briefed about your next day sightseeing program.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel, a guided sightseeing tour begins in Kathmandu valley which includes Pashupatinath, the most sacred Hindu shrine dedicated to Hindu God Shiva. Built before 400AD, it is the largest temple complex in Nepal. All the dying persons are brought here for cremation. It is believed by Hindus that dying and cremating in the temple complex will be released from the cycle of rebirths and attained Nirvana. Only the Hindus are allowed to go inside.
Bouddhanath: It is the World's biggest stupa built in the 7th century AD. Colossal in shape, this stupa attracts Buddhists pilgrims all over the world. Hundreds of prayer flags hang from twine stretched across the central tower and in the distance, the golden roofs of the surrounding temples can be seen framed by the Himalayas in the backdrop.
Swayambhunath: Popularly known as Monkey temple, it is located on a top of a hill in the north of Kathmandu. It is said to be 2000 years old and has been an important pilgrimage site for people from all over Asia. The Stupa has a symmetrical design symbolizing the very essence of Buddhism and the path to enlightenment. Overnight at hotel
Day 03: Visit Pokhara
Transfer to domestic airport and fly to Pokhara and upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. Pokhara is Nepal's second most popular tourist destination at the lap of Annapurna Himalaya. It is 200km away from Kathmandu by surface. It offers natural view of the mountains and is graced with glittering lakes, foaming rivers, majestic caverns. It is the starting point for many of Nepal's most popular trekking and mountaineering expeditions. While in Pokhara you will enjoy boating in the Phewa lake in the evening. Overnight at hotel
Day 04: Visit Pokhara
You go sightseeing tour to wonderful Pokhara valley (places of your choice), enjoy the natural scenery to your heart's content. The major sights in Pokhara are: ‘Phewa lake’, the second largest lake in Nepal. Barahi Temple’,a beautiful shrine in the middle of Phewa Lake.
‘Mahindra Pul’, provides a perfect view of Seti river's dreadful rush and deep gorge made by its powerful flow. Another site worth to visit in Pokhara is the ‘Devi's fall’ (also known as Devin's and David's) which is a lovely waterfall located about 2-Km south-west of the Pokhara Airport, on the Siddhartha Highway. It is believed that a trekker (Devin, David) was washed away by the ‘Pardi Khola’ and mysteriously disappeared down into an underground passage beneath the fall, thus named ‘Devi’s fall’.
Mahendra Cave, a large limestone cave, locally known as the "House of Bats", is another natural wonder of Pokhara. The Pokhara Museum, an ethnic mosaic of western Nepal. It is located between the bus stop and Mahindra Pul. The lifestyles and history of ethnic groups such as the Gurungs, Thakalis and the Tharus are attractively displayed through models, photographs and artifacts in this museum. The Annapurna Regional Museum, also known as the Natural History Museum is another interesting site in Pokhara. It has an exceptional collection of butterflies, insects, birds and models of wildlife that exist in the area. Other popular and touristic places in Pokhara includes: the old bazaar, the new bazaar & its surrounding areas, Sarangkot- an ideal location for magnificent Himalayan views. Day 05: Fly back to Kathmandu
Breakfast at hotel and relax till departure, fly to Kathmandu, arrival and transfer to hotel, rest of the time shopping or stay on your own, Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Final Departure
Transfer to airport for your final departure according to your departure flight time
